Audio Visual Room
Our Vidyalaya has a separate room which is specially designed with computer, LCD Projector, Over Head Projector , TV System and PA system for the purpose of computer aided teaching.Various classes for different subjects were conducted by using slides and presentations Special Programmes on Guidance and Counseling, Value Education, Adolescence Education etc. were also conducted. Kendriya Vidyalaya Rubber Board has a well-equipped Science Lab viz Chemistry ,Physics and Biology lab The lab is equipped with all kind of modern apparatus required for the AISSE Practical Examinations as prescribed by the Central Board Secondary Education. The labs are also well stocked with models, charts and other specimen required for the proper understanding of the science subjects. Physics Laboratory
The physics lab of the school is full fledged with all the equipments required for conducting the practicals of classe XI & XII. We conduct practicals by providing one experimental set up to one student. This helps to understand and do practicals on their own.The students are permitted to use the lab according to the requirement.The experiments are arranged cycle wise and necessary guidance are given previously as well as at the time of the practical.The students are permitted to design their own experiment and to do it after being verified by the teacher.this enhances the scientific spirit among the students.
Biology Laboratory
The Biology lab is well equipped with all the basic facilities required for the students of the Vidyalaya. The lab in enriched with a good collection of bottled specimens prepared slides, portraits of scientists coloured bio-visual charts and a full size model of the human skeleton. Various biological instruments like spigmomanometer, Otaemoglobinometer. Haemocytometer, Ganongs photometer are also available. The lab is also equipped with technological teachings aids like an over head projection and a computer system. All these materials are arranged systematically inside the lab at the easy reach of the students.
Chemistry Laboratory-Facilities Twenty four students can do the practicals at a time. Students of class IX to XII are using the facilities of this lab. LPG Connection and water facilities are available at each seat The lab has sufficient consumable and no consumable items Lab is having enough chemical balance and electric balance
JUNIOR SCIENCE LAB
This lab is meant for students from class VI to X.The lab is equipped with all the apparatus and materials needed for proper functioning.Various charts ,models and other specimen were are also provided in the lab for easy understanding of the subject LIBRARY
Kendriya Vidyalaya Rubber Board Kottayam has a well equipped Library which has a collection of over 6000 books related to Science, Social Science, Art, Literature,Computer science, Modern technology and other reference books. The libraray is provided with five newspapers- The Hindu, The New Indian Express, Business Time, Nawbharat Times and Malayala Manorama. The library functions during the normal school hours.English and Hindi Newspapers are displayed outside the libraryBesides this,class libraries are maintained by the class teachers for the primary students of classes 1 to 5.
